So, please tell us your name and where you're from.
My name is Carla, I come from Rome. Thank you for accepting this interview.
What has struck you most during these days here in Reykjavik?
In a way, I've answered this question several times during these days, and I've given two different answers. On one hand, that the ODDESSI results have somewhat dominated, perhaps — they took up a lot of space in this meeting. On the other hand, though, when I was asked what had struck me most, I answered that it was a testimony of a lived psychotic experience. That made me reflect on the fact that scientific research is certainly very important, but, let's say... in some way the experiences — the people who lived them — tell a story that is surely just as important.
Is there a word, an idea, a phrase you'll take home into your work?
Perhaps... someone said that in Open Dialogue the goal of the first meeting could even be simply to have a second meeting. This could... well, in this meeting it was said that in other dialogical practices too, having a second chance could be the goal — in training, for example: having another chance for training, so having a second meeting. The word could be... Hope.
This is the last question: where will Open Dialogue be in 2030?
I'm very optimistic. The people who have come into contact with Open Dialogue have found a place where they can express themselves, also as practitioners, and where they can belong. So I think it will be much more widespread, much more used, much more co-created, Open Dialogue — even if perhaps it won't be called exactly that, but, well, by 2030 the ideas of Open Dialogue will have helped many of us.
Thank you for the interview. Would you like to add anything, any comments?
No — thank you for this idea, which may be a good way of bringing many voices together. Thank you. — Thank you.
