Who we are

DialogoAperto.com is a community website connecting practitioners, peers, researchers and communities interested in the Open Dialogue approach to mental health care. For anything concerning your personal data, write to lupo@dialogoaperto.com.

What data we collect, and why

Newsletter (monthly digest)

If you subscribe, we collect your email address and your language preference. They are stored by our newsletter provider, Brevo (an EU-based company), and used only to send you the monthly digest. Subscription uses double opt-in: nothing is stored in our lists until you click the confirmation link. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link; when you unsubscribe, your address is removed from our list.

Accounts and comments

If you register an account or post comments, we store your username, email address and the content you publish. Your username and published content are visible to other visitors; your email address is not.

PolyForum mail group

Our discussion space, PolyForum, is hosted on Groups.io, an external service. Joining is voluntary and moderated. Data you share there is processed by Groups.io under its own privacy policy.

Technical data

Our hosting provider, Aruba S.p.A. (Italy), keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and access times) for security purposes. The site keeps anonymous page-view counters. We use no advertising, no profiling and no third-party analytics services.

Maps and embedded content

The clinical-centres map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap-based providers; when the map is displayed, your IP address is sent to the tile provider. Some pages may embed third-party content (for example videos), which loads only on those pages and is governed by the providers’ own policies.

Legal basis and retention

We process newsletter, account, comment and group data on the basis of your consent, and technical logs on the basis of legitimate interest (site security). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; account data until you ask us to delete it; server logs for the limited period set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to lupo@dialogoaperto.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
